Nearly half of Brazilians use their smartphone for a at least 6 hours a day

On a typical day, you probably use your smartphone every half an hour. At least that’s what the research carried out by IAB and On Device Research found: Brazilians invest more time on their cell phones than China, the United States and Japan.

Web access through cell phones and tablets has risen a lot in the last few years, and is still on the rise, especially in e-commerce. So it is crucial your brand’s website is responsive. If this information hasn’t convinced you, here are three reasons to be mobile-friendly:

Don’t get left behind

Your website’s position in search engine results is determined by SEO. When it comes to rankings, search engines consider whether your site is mobile-friendly. If it’s not, it will be penalized and will only appear at the end of the list;

Don’t miss out on customers

Smatphones are part of people’s lives. A responsive website enables access from all devices and at any time of the day: on public transport, in queues, or before bed. Without the necessary adjustments, the user will have difficulty navigating through the website and will eventually close the page;

Don’t wait

If your website isn’t mobile-friendly, remember this: your competitor’s website probably is. Do you want to get left behind?

It doesn’t matter what your brand’s sector is, it is essential that the site offers a pleasant mobile experience.
